Joe's Car from Joe 90

If ever there was a need to turn an old TV show into a movie. Joe 90 should be front of the line; just saying.  Joe 90 never quite made the same ripples over the years that its stablemate Thunderbirds did.  But Dinky still put out a couple of vehicles from the 30 episode show.  Joe's Car was the cool one though, with retracting wings, moving tail fins and a turbine that lit up.  In the show it was actually Joe's Father Mac who invented and owned the car.  Secret Agent or not Joe was a kid and so to young to drive.

I bought this 1967 Dinky 102 model from an online auction, The car was described as near mint but it turned up with a non working wing mechanism.  Luckily nothing was actually broken or missing and just needed the springs to be refitted, which was fiddly and needed an extra pair of hands but doable. The Auction house was also kind enough to reimburse 30% of the total purchase price so this was a real win for me.  The outer box is in a fair condition but the inner plinth is in great shape with good clean artwork and came with the hard to find instructions.  The polystyrene base is also present but not in this shot.
